One evening and unexpectedly, the Bendaly family appeared on a TV show, bringing much surprise and astonishment to the viewers because of their artistic talents in singing, playing music and their mature presence, the three tools that should be present in each artist who seeks his place in the journey for fame. Local press and media rushed into the family house in Tripoli (North of Lebanon), reporting, interviewing and publishing their photos. Even the National TV sent a fully equipped crew to broadcast live this unique family of twelve, their ages ranging between 9 and 24, all singing, dancing and composing their own personal style of music. Newspapers and magazines extensively published articles about this phenomenal family, describing them as “International artists”. One foreign radio station even foresaw a good potential of them becoming a national treasure, like the British group “The Beatles”, with one huge difference, the Bendaly’s were all related while the Beatles were not. The Bendaly Family stood on the Clemenceau stage in Beirut for the first time in February 1975. They performed daily in a live show for three and a half months in front of an admiring, enthusiastic and huge crowd. The local media embraced, admired and captured the true essence of the Bendaly Family, When the civil war ignited, the family headed back to Tripoli where they stayed, until four of them had an opportunity to work in Damascus, Syria. The Syrian people welcomed them with much appreciation and admiration and the local Syrian media published lots of articles about the family which had been looked after and cared for by the Syrian government as one of their own. The Bendaly Family soon started performing many live shows on the Syrian TV. Jordan then extended an invitation, and the Family performed in this loving country in big concerts. The Jordanian TV broadcast their shows on many occasions upon viewers’ requests. Due to their many successful achievements, the family proved that they were an international phenomenon. The prediction of them becoming a national treasure was very evident. We wonder, did this phenomenon happen by chance? The answer lies with the parents: “it is a blessing coming from faith, the kind of faith that creates wonders, the faith in God and in our mission to make the person overcomes all odds with no fear of a journey that was brought upon him and destined by fate.
